Our Responsible Choice Safety Footwear contains a collection of products that are sourced using better materials, manufactured using ethical production processes and some of which offer end of life recycling solutions. We're introducing new ways to recover and recycle safety footwear enabling everyone to work towards a move towards a circular business model.
Arco Responsible trainers are our first footwear product to be made from certified recycled polyester and certified to the latest safety footwear standard.
Several elements including the webbing, lining and upper components are made from certified (Global Recycling Standard) recycled polyester.

EMMA, owned by the Hultafors Group, has developed a range of safety footwear products that not only provides safety, but sustainability benefits. EMMA has chosen to incorporate environmentally friendly materials as far as possible, with a longer service life, and promote a circular message through their Circular Collection range of safety footwear.
Working towards a circular future, every single component within the range can be recycled at the end of its use by returning the footwear back to the manufacturer for recycling. EMMA offers a free of charge service that takes care of the return logistics and provides customers with the option to contribute to a sustainable future. Once recycled, raw materials can then be re-used in future applications such as furniture, insulation materials and, in future, new safety shoes.
